Dental Treatment
Today, Implants are the best alternative to replace natural teeth after tooth loss and provide the function and aesthetics of the mouth. Stopping the melting of the jawbone, which is one of the important problems with tooth loss, can only be achieved with implants today. While implants provide a better speech and chewing function compared to traditional coatings and prostheses, they also bring a natural appearance to your face. Implants today are the most important development of Dentistry in the 21st century. When applied with correct diagnosis, sufficient knowledge, experience and equipment, a dental implant is a form of treatment that can give extraordinarily successful results for the patient and the physician.

What is an implant?
In short, implants are artificial tooth roots that are placed in the jawbone and generally made of titanium in order to provide the function and aesthetics of the missing teeth.
Is treatment with implants safe and long-lasting?
Implant treatment is a completely safe treatment when performed by knowledgeable, experienced and trained dentists and quality implants are used. Generally, 98% success has been achieved today in implant treatment, which has a very high satisfaction rate. In many cases, implants have been found to remain in the mouth for up to thirty years. Implants are now considered to last as long as teeth. Especially after the age of 35-40, implants last longer than the treatment of natural teeth in many cases. After all, implants can be used for a lifetime. For more detailed information on this subject, contact our clinic.
Can implants be used in all situations?
Implant can be made in every case with tooth loss, whether a single tooth or all teeth are missing.
Can each patient be implanted?
Nowadays, it is possible to place implants for everyone except patients with some systemic diseases. Your physician will give you more detailed information on this subject.
Implant screws are structures that have a specific thickness and width. For this reason, in the area where the implant is to be placed, the jawbone must have the height and width to accept this implant screw. The quality of the existing bone also determines how quickly prosthesis will be placed on the implant. As long as the general health condition of the patient is good, there is no upper age limit to prevent implant application, but it may not be preferred to apply to very young patients whose bone development is not completed.
Will I feel pain when placing the implant?
If appropriate anesthesia methods are applied, no pain is felt and it is easier than tooth extraction. Generally, the pain that can be felt on the evening of the implant can be relieved with simple painkillers. Many patients state that this pain is not different from the pain felt after a normal tooth extraction.
Can my prostheses be fitted immediately after implants are placed?
The answer to this question is sometimes yes and sometimes no. It depends on the quality of the bone where the implants are placed and the location of the implant. However, sometimes chewing and aesthetics can be provided immediately by making a temporary prosthesis suitable for you.
Nowadays, it is now possible to eat with teeth that do not come out in your home with a screwed prosthesis in all edentulous jaws after strong bone support by making pre-operative preparations using computer technology. Get information about this from our clinic.
How long is the total treatment time?
If there is sufficient bone support on the implants that can be prosthetic immediately, at least 2 appointments are sufficient. The duration of these appointments will be at different lengths depending on the characteristics of the work to be done. In short, if there is a hard and medium-hard bone structure, the treatment can be completed in 1-2 weeks, while if there is a weak bone structure, the treatment may take up to 2 - 5 months.
Is the cleaning of the implants important?
Yes. It is as important to clean implants by brushing them like teeth. What you should not forget is regular oral care.
Do I need an implant for every missing tooth?
No. In general, 3 or more teeth can serve in place when 2 implants are placed. In cases where many teeth are missing, especially in the posterior region of the jaw, the number of implants should be increased in order to make a fixed prosthesis. Sometimes the number of implants is increased in order to stop bone resorption, since the bone melting in the implanted area stops.
Today, with the 'all on four' technology, you can make 4 implants in a single jaw and achieve fixed teeth with screw prosthesis.
Is implant treatment expensive?
No it is not. Nowadays, we can offer our patients many options thanks to quality implants suitable for every budget. The cost may vary depending on the complexity and length of the implant placement procedure, and the patient's dental health and needs.
What advantages does implant treatment offer in which situations?
Patients who have lost all their teeth and have a full denture: These patients complain of constant pain and inability to chew well due to the movement of the prosthesis. In such patients, implant treatment removes all the above complaints and also stops the melting of the bone.
Patients who have lost some of their teeth in the lower or upper jaw:
The complaint of these patients can be counted as the ugly appearance of a removable prosthesis attached with hooks, or the necessity of cutting their healthy teeth in order to make a bridge. Implant prostheses eliminate both situations.
Patients who have lost a single tooth: These are patients who have to have at least two adjacent teeth cut and bridged to restore a single missing tooth. Placement of a single implant saves 2 adjacent teeth from cutting.
What are the advantages of implant treatment?
Better chewing - Eating whatever you want Better aesthetic appearance A happier social life with the recovery of self-confidence Healthier and balanced nutrition based on eating everything Stopping the inevitable osteoporosis resulting from tooth loss.
Is there a risk of implants being rejected by the body?
Implants are made of titanium, which does not have any side effects for the organism and have been subjected to intense research for years. It was published in 1982 that a complete bond (Osseointegration) was formed between the bone and titanium. It is unlikely that the body will produce antigens against titanium implants and reject them as in heart and kidney transplants.
Are the success of the implants guaranteed?
Many companies give a lifetime warranty to their implants against damages such as breakage.
All on Four Implant Concept
All on Four concept refers to the production of a full jaw fixed prosthesis with 4 implants. This system, in which permanent prosthesis is made to the patient within 48 hours, is the ideal treatment method for the patients who do not have enough time, and health tourism patients.
In this system, fixed dental prosthesis is made with an average of eight implants as a result of the planning made according to the bone structure of the patient. The number of implants to be used is determined by panoramic x-ray or computed tomography imaging methods. At the end of all these examinations, the desired number of implants are placed in the jawbone.
In the All On Four method, fixed dental prostheses can be made on implant systems that are placed in jaw bones in certain numbers and angles, where a sufficient number of implants cannot be placed with traditional methods.
The most important advantage of the All on Four application is that a patient with no teeth leaves the clinic within 48 hours with temporary or permanent fixed prostheses. Thus, the patient can comfortably continue his daily life with fixed teeth in his mouth without any interruption or trouble during the healing process. If the prosthesis made after the procedure is a permanent prosthesis, control and contouring may be necessary to tolerate changes in soft and hard tissues after 3 months.
Another advantage of this method is that hybrid prostheses that provide soft tissue support to the face can be made within two days. Thus, the depressions due to age and bone loss in the lip, chin and cheek areas of the patient can be partially supported and a more aesthetic appearance can be obtained in the face area.
All On Four Implant Technique
The All On Four Implant technique is a technique that is applied in patients with total edentulism, which allows the prosthesis to be fixed on the same day by placing the implants at certain angles in the mouth.
This technique is applied to patients who are suitable for the dental implant procedure, have sufficient bone density and have lost all their teeth.
All On Four Implant Technique Treatment Stages
First of all, a detailed clinical examination of the patient is made and radiological examinations such as x-ray tomography are completed. If there are any teeth in the patient's mouth that need to be extracted, they are extracted. Impression is taken for the prosthesis and prepared for post-implant application. After the implants are applied, temporary prostheses are placed. At the end of an average of 3 months, which is the period of fusion of the implant with the jawbone, the temporary prosthesis is replaced by prostheses to be used continuously.
As a result of the procedure, pain and swelling can be observed for 1 or 2 days, as in all dental implant procedures. However, you can easily relieve these complaints with the help of medications recommended by your doctor. As long as you use temporary prostheses for 3 months, it is important that you stay away from very hard foods, that the prosthesis is not damaged and does not put pressure on the implants. At the end of 3 months, there is no harm in returning to your normal diet.
Advantages of All On 4 Implant Technique
- It allows implant and prosthesis procedures to be performed on the same day for patients with total edentulism problems.
- Using a small number of implants results in a much lower cost compared to normal implant treatments, it is economical.
- The All on four technique is a treatment that relieves patients who have difficulties especially when using removable prostheses.
- At the end of the treatment, which also allows smile design, it gives the patient a new and aesthetic smile.
- Different from full dental prostheses, the palate design is in a structure that makes it easier for the patient to get used to it.
- Since the treatment takes 2-3 sessions on average, it is not an application that tires the patient.
In patients treated with the All On 4 Technique, very successful results are obtained, especially if they carefully follow the recommendations of their doctor during 3 months. It is an extremely privileged method in terms of not affecting both eating and drinking functions and social life of the patient on the same day.
